Timothy Skammer has been making the world a greener place for 21 years. As a recycled commodities trader and broker, Tim buys and sells recycled commodities that find their way all over the world. If you were to lay the recycled commodities end to end that Tim has brokered over the years, you could fill the playing field at Lincoln Financial Field, home to the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, over 19,887 times. That’s a lot of green.

Hailing from the greater Philadelphia area, Mr. Skammer is a graduate of Springfield High School located in Delaware County, PA. From there, Mr. Skammer went straight to Temple University School of Business and Management where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Marketing with an emphasis in Management.

Mr. Skammer started his brokerage career at United State Recycling Inc., located in Philadelphia, PA.Tim’s role included managing all aspects of the recycled brokerage business including business development, sales & marketing as well as a strong understanding of both local and international markets. He worked at United States Recycling Inc. from December of 1994 to December of 1999.

In 1999, Tim Skammer moved on to Accurate Recycling located in Philadelphia, PA to become a veteran recycled commodities trader and broker. The Accurate Recycling team has over 30 years of service and prides themselves on solving the toughest problems for their customers…..“If we can’t move the material you have, no one can.”

Tim is responsible for developing and maintaining a profitable secondary commodities brokerage business for Accurate Brokerage. His duties include developing new lines of business, accurately predicting and reacting to current and changing markets while effectively providing marketing services to small to mid-size packing and processing companies.

Over the years Mr. Skammer has developed a strong background in transportation & logistic services as well as a strong knowledge of both the domestic (USA) and export (overseas) markets for recycled commodities. He leverages this working knowledge in every transaction he manages to achieve a win/win outcome for his company and his customers.

In his day to day activities Mr. Skammer purchases truckloads of paper, plastic and other commodities from paper and plastic recycling companies, trash haulers, municipalities, other brokers, packaging companies, manufacturers, printers, townships to resell to his established network of recycled commodities buyers. This network includes consuming paper mills, plastic manufacturers, plastic processors, manufacturers, other brokers and others.

Timothy Skammer covers a lot of geography in his position. Accurate Brokerage conducts business up and down the east coast. They are the strongest in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions with experience west towards Chicago and north into provinces of Quebec and Ontario.
